Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about using data to drive operational improvements? The Disability Insurance (DI) Branch is seeking a proactive Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) to lead the Operations Analytics Unit within the DI Command Center Division. 

In this key role, you will oversee analytics and technical support for contact center systems and Workforce Management technologies, ensuring smooth operations, optimized system performance, and timely issue resolution. You will act as a technical advisor, monitor system performance, analyze logs and data, and collaborate with internal teams, IT, and external partners to implement improvements and resolve system issues.

As a vital contributor, your team will provide insights and reports that inform operational decisions, help improve customer service delivery, and support the DI Branch's goals. This role offers an opportunity to influence system performance, support continuous improvement, and ensure that critical contact center and WFM systems operate efficiently.

This position is headquartered in the Command Center Office in Sacramento. Will consider candidates who are located throughout the State of California. This position allows for a hybrid telework schedule, which is subject to change, under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telework. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, for their in-office days. Employees may be assigned to report to another DI office closer to their California residence. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters/office are the responsibility of the employee.

The headquarters is located in downtown Sacramento; with multiple field office locations across the state of California.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.   • This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with two days reporting every week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the department and is subject to change as business needs arise.
