The Black Hawk is designed to ensure reliability, low maintenance, high availability and enhanced survivability in the most austere and remote forward operating bases supporting our Army and International Foreign Military Operators(FMS)

The Black Hawk Program Manager is ideally an experienced Director and will report to and support the Vice President of Army & Air Force Systems to execute contract work as well as develop and acquire pending and ongoing utility helicopter business, specifically for our domestic US Army customer and world- wide international pursuits for capability insertion. This program manager requires executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to build teams. The candidate must be able to excel in dynamic work environment and be able to contribute in many different aspects of the program execution and capture.

THE WORK

Lead all aspects of planning, organizing, directing, communicating and controlling the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the Black Hawk Program

Communicating status, concerns, and issues to the functional leadership team and external customers as applicable

Monitoring and managing risks and opportunities

Collaboration with other functional team members to ensure work efforts are effectively communicated, coordinated and prioritized

Establishment and conduct of a recurring business rhythm to review capture and program performance with AAFS leadership

Proposal and project data management

Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled meetings with customers as required by program requirements

Monitor budgets to ensure compliance to program plans

Monitor program schedules and manage deviations to ensure on time deliveries and program success

Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated and vast experience working and influencing at the Executive level and above
Bachelors degree from an accredited college

10+ years of program and technical experience; including demonstrated program management leadership experience including solid understanding of Risk and Opportunity management

Leadership experience

Must be willing to travel (20%)

Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with USG DOD programs

Experience with international business with a solid track record handling diverse requirements that impact international pursuits and ultimate program execution

Experience working through USG proposal and execution efforts, specifically FMS cases and with direct commercial sale (DCS) proposals

Results oriented with an expertise in building effective relationships and leading a highly skilled, diverse workforce

Ability to prioritize, balance multiple tasks simultaneously and bring matters/issues to successful closure, all in the midst of changing priorities

A detailed understanding of financial/business analysis, government contracts, technology/business planning.

Strong oral, written, communications and organization skills.

Strong eye for business and an understanding for how programs support overall business strategy

Refresh and further utilize Full Spectrum Leadership through focus on both performance results and behaviors

Adept at working with matrix organizations for executing and proposing programs.

Ability to develop and maintain strong Customer relationships

Ability to communicate at Senior Executive levels - may be aligned with Exec Presence sentence but feel like it needs to be desired skill

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
