Job Description: Pizza Maker / Pizzaiolo Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pizza Maker/Pizzaiolo to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working with dough, understands proper pizza preparation techniques, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves crafting high-quality pizzas with consistency, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and contributing to an excellent guest experience. A passion for great food and attention to detail are essential. Experience in fast paced pizzerias is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare, stretch, and hand-toss pizza dough to the restaurant’s specifications.
- Assemble pizzas with accuracy, consistency, and attention to presentation.
- Operate pizza ovens, monitor cooking times/temperatures, and ensure proper bake quality.
- Follow established recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and surrounding prep areas.
- Manage prep lists, rotate stock, label ingredients, and ensure freshness of all toppings.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Side Tasks & Additional Duties - Prepare fresh ingredients (e.g., slicing vegetables, portioning cheese, making sauce).
- Assist with dough production, including mixing, balling, proofing, and storage as needed.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and prep tools.
- Support other kitchen stations during busy periods as needed.
- Help with daily opening/closing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Receive and store deliveries, check inventory, and report shortages.
- Participate in menu changes, specials, or testing new recipes.
- Provide training or guidance for new team members as required
