The Position:

As we continue our growth trajectory, we are looking to bring on a Freight Coordinator to work at our Clinton, CT facility. Work schedule is 7am-3:30pm.

The Freight Coordinator handles the shipping containers, raw materials, parcel shipments and related data in the set up and staging areas keeping the areas and freight organized. Exhibit freight is staged for ease of set up and restaged and labeled when packed down and ready to go. Bills of lading are created, and trucks are properly loaded by the freight coordinator. Raw materials and parcels are received, stored and recipient notified.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizes containers on the set-up floor
• Handles out bound freight and BOL, and storage data entry
• Maintains cleanliness of set up, staging, and receiving areas
• Loads and unloads trucks with forklift
• Transfers freight and materials from warehouses, CNC barn and set up area.
• Manages inbound receiving of packages and raw materials
• Reports to shop foreman
• Assists in set-up and pack-down of exhibits when needed
  

About You:

• You have a High school diploma or GED and some relevant work experience.
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive in planning space and moving freight.
• Experience working with truck drivers and bills of lading.
• Experience in managing inventories and storage lists.
• Attention to detail, and ability to revise data to accurately reflect shipping manifests.
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle awkward objects.
  
• Willingness to work overtime.
