Job Description:
Lead data-driven improvements in chemical manufacturing processes using AI/ML and predictive analytics.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings
• Develop and implement predictive models for material usage and production optimization
• Apply generative AI and LLMs for research and solution development
• Use Python, R, SQL, and REST APIs for data processing and model deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives
• Own projects from ideation to execution, delivering measurable business impact
• Travel to the Newark, DE site initially weekly for onboarding, then monthly

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing environments
  • Strong industrial/process optimization and data analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, REST APIs
  • Experience with GenAI, LLMs (OpenAI, Meta, Google), RAG, Prompt Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and communicate effectively
  • Quick learner with a strong sense of ownership

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
