Job Title: Cloud-Native Infrastructure Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain auto-scaling solutions using KEDA and other relevant tools for cloud-native workloads.
- Provide technical documentation and guidance for the adoption of KEDA in Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to analyze application traffic patterns and define appropriate scaling triggers.
- Integrate and manage Google Cloud Platform-native services such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub, GKE Ingress, and Kafka for event-driven scaling.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Argo CD, GitLab CI/CD, and Spinnaker.
- Ensure observability and monitoring of scaling behavior and performance metrics.
- Drive best practices for cloud-native architecture, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Participate in performance tuning, cost optimization, and incident response related to scaling infrastructure.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with KEDA or similar auto-scaling frameworks in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services, especially Pub/Sub, GKE, and Ingress controllers.
- Proficiency in event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Argo CD, GitLab CI/CD, and Spinnaker.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, YAML).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect).
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
